Daily Practice

In the last few weeks I have been trying to start a daily practice and by this I mean truly doing something each and every day! I have tried several times and it ends up being daily practice for about three days, then daily practice every two days and so on until I get to the point where I have to start all over again. This time my daily practice is still threatened to turning out the same way but honestly, I am doing my very best to fight against this and keep going! And so far I have managed a week :-) Going strong.

So, what does my daily practice consist of? Well, I am doing a tree of life meditation that I found in Gede Parma's second book "By Land, Sky and Sea" on page 8. I have found I am usually first in the right mindset for meditation just before I go to sleep. But this meditation always gives me so much energy that it is almost impossible to go asleep right after. So now I am trying to integrate it into my time spent on the earlier parts of the day. So far, honestly, it's not working. But I'll get there, I just know it. And I am still doing daily practice at night before bed time. Usually I do a one card oracle reading from Brian Froud's "The Faeries Oracle" or I just go through them to get to know the cards a bit more. When I feel a bit ill or down I take out the healing card and ask it for help or hold it to the body part that hurts. It works incredibly well for me. And then of course I give thanks. And can go to sleep after. :-)
